Ryan Mackenzie (R-Berks/Lehigh), majority chairman of the House State Government Subcommittee on Campaign Finance and Elections, will lead a hearing on the topic of Congressional term limits. Establishing term limits for elected members of Congress would require a constitutional amendment, which could be enacted through a constitutional convention called for under Article V of the U.S. Constitution. Recent polls show an overwhelming majority of voters support term limits for U.S. senators and representatives.
