Reed Takes Oath as New House Majority Leader

HARRISBURG – The 2015-16 session of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives opened today, as Majority Leader Dave Reed (R-Indiana) was sworn into his seventh term in office. Reed will oversee a Republican majority which stands at 119-83, the largest majority since the 1957-58 session. Rep. Mike Turzai (R-Allegheny) was elected Speaker by the members of the House.
