HARRISBURG – In light of the ongoing state budget impasse, Rep. Rob Kauffman (R-Franklin) this week joined his colleagues in the state House in passing a package of emergency state funding bills to help sustain critical human service programs and to keep the doors of many organizations which depend on state funding, including our schools, open.

HARRISBURG – The state House today passed legislation to authorize emergency state funding that would support human services providers and recipients of student loans, while unlocking federal and state dollars designated for Pennsylvania’s public school districts. The party-line vote sends House Bill 224 and Senate Bills 1000 and 1001 to Gov. Tom Wolf’s desk for his signature into law.

HARRISBURG- The Lancaster County House Republican Delegation voted today to approve emergency funding for struggling social service agencies and schools. The legislation, Senate Bills 1000 and 1001, would provide four months of funding for government operations applied retroactively to the beginning of the fiscal year July 1 through Oct. 31. This legislation would release $11 billion in state and more than $24 billion in federal funds. The bills are being sent to Gov. Tom Wolf’s desk for his signature into law, following a party line vote in the House of Representatives.
