Establishment of Women Veterans Day in Pennsylvania One Step Closer, Says Pennycuick

HARRISBURG – The state House of Representatives today unanimously approved legislation authored by Rep. Tracy Pennycuick (R-Montgomery), a U.S. Army veteran, to designate June 12 of each year as Women Veterans Day in Pennsylvania. The idea for the legislation was presented to Pennycuick by local Montgomery County resident Robin Hightower.

Klunk Bill to Protect Children and Youth Agencies Passes the State House

HARRISBURG – With bipartisan support, the House passed legislation by Rep. Kate Klunk (R-Hanover) to protect private children and youth social service agencies and residential treatment providers. The bill will accomplish this by voiding certain indemnification clauses when these agencies renew their professional liability policies.

Boback’s Bill to Assist Older Foster Youth Passed by House

HARRISBURG – A bill sponsored by Rep. Karen Boback (R-Lackawanna/Luzerne/Wyoming) that would help older foster youth in Pennsylvania to find more permanent family connections was unanimously approved by the House of Representatives on Monday.
