Children’s Trust Fund Aims to Prevent Child Abuse through Innovative Grants, Hogan Says

HARRISBURG – As a member of Pennsylvania’s Children’s Trust Fund, Rep. Joe Hogan (R-Bucks) reviewed and supported submissions from 21 grant recipients seeking to prevent child abuse and neglect.

The 21 programs receiving grants through the Children’s Trust Fund’s efforts include those that provide parenting classes, support caregivers of children with mental or behavioral challenges, offer in-home nurse visits and assist families in crisis.

“These investments will help ensure children and families have the support they need to thrive. Homes without neglect and abuse set children up for stronger, healthier futures,” Hogan said. “By working together with local organizations and families, we can expand access to prevention services, strengthen communities and help create a better Pennsylvania for children.”

The list of grant recipients includes Bethany Christian Services of Greater Delaware Valley, Community Youth and Women’s Alliance, NOVA (Network of Victim Assistance), Children’s Crisis Treatment Center and The Foundation for Delaware County.

Awardees can receive up to $50,000 a year for three years.

Established in 1988, the Children’s Trust Fund is administered by a 15-member board that includes Hogan.
