YORK – The members of the York County House Delegation - Reps. Seth Grove (R-York), Keith Gillespie (R-Hellam), Mike Regan (R-Dillsburg), Stan Saylor (R-Red Lion), Kevin Schreiber (D-York), Kate Klunk (R-Hanover), and Kristin Phillips-Hill (R-York Township), today announced funding through the Pennsylvania Cultural and Historical Support Grant Program for the York County Heritage Trust, in the amount of $21,451.90.

Funding was awarded by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission to more than 120 eligible museums and official county historical societies across the Commonwealth. The goal of the program is to strengthen the state’s museum community, provide operating support for historical societies, achieve a geographical balance of grant awards and allow those who receive funding to spend it as they see fit. In a statement, the members said:

“The York County Heritage Trust is an essential resource in the preservation of York County’s vibrant history. Each year, people from across our region and state visit the sites and museums operated by the heritage trust to witness York County’s importance to our state and nation through the American Revolution and the Civil War. In addition, it is a valuable source of support for people across our area looking to learn more about their family history. This investment in our past makes for a better future. We know the funding will be put to good use.”
