The Government Reform Caucus will host a news conference to discuss its support of legislation that prohibits the acceptance of transportation, lodging, hospitality or anything of economic value as a gift.
Caucus co-chairs state Rep. George Dunbar (R-Westmoreland) and Sen. Rob Teplitz (D-Dauphin/Perry) and other members of the bipartisan, bicameral caucus, will also provide an update on the process by which the caucus evaluates and gives its support to government reform bills.
The House version of the gift reform bill,
House Bill 43, is sponsored by state Rep. Rick Saccone (R-Allegheny/Washington), and the Senate version,
Senate Bill 885 is co-sponsored by Teplitz and Sen. John Eichelberger (R-Blair, Cumberland, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon).
