HARRISBURG – State Rep. Brian Smith (R-Jefferson/Indiana) announced today that the Transportation Committee has approved two bills for consideration by the full House.
House Bill 134 would add one certified driver rehabilitation specialist (CDRS) to PennDOT’s Medical Advisory Board.
House Bill 797 would require PennDOT to plant native vegetation along state highways where feasible.
“I’m proud to be part of a committee that is ready and willing to pass common sense legislation,” Smith said. “These bills will help the Commonwealth identify people with disabilities who are still capable of driving and limit invasive and noxious plants near our roadways. I fully support both of these measures and encourage my fellow representatives to do the same.”
