Jun. 10, 2022
WHAT: PA House Environmental Resources and Energy (ERE) Committee Majority Chairman Daryl Metcalfe (R-Butler) will convene a public hearing to gather input on two pieces of legislation (House Bills
2153 and
2331) which seek to help local businesses and communities more effectively comply with the federally mandated municipal separate storm sewer systems (MS4).
Officials and business leaders from across the Commonwealth continue to raise concerns that the MS4 requirements, administered by the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), are overly costly and excessive for municipalities to implement and to the taxpayers who ultimately bear the economic burdens.
WHO: The hearing will feature presentations from Charles Brown, president, CW Brown Consulting Group, LLC; Rick Caranfa, Akens Engineering Associates, Inc.; Donna Fisher, Blair County Conservation District, Blair County Intergovernmental Stormwater Committee; Joseph H Gerdes III, Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors; Sarah Ryan, Derry Township Municipal Authority, PA Municipal Authorities Association; and Leigh Ann Urban, Marysville Borough.
WHEN: Monday, June 13, at 9:30 a.m.
WHERE: Room 515, Irvis Office Building,
State Capitol Complex, Harrisburg.
LIVESTREAM: Barring technical difficulties, Monday’s public hearing will be streamed live at RepMetcalfe.com/livestreams.
