WHAT:    Rep. Karen Boback (R-Lackawanna/Luzerne/Wyoming), chairman of the House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee, will lead a voting meeting to consider the following proposals:
House Bill 2434 would increase the Medical Assistance reimbursement rate to 80% of the Medicare rate for both Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advance Life Support (ALS) ambulance services.
House Bill 2586 would commemorate March 29 of each year as Tuskegee Airman Commemoration Day in Pennsylvania.
House Resolution 179 would urge the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to update its per capita impact indicator and thresholds on an annual basis in accordance with overall cost adjustments and any population changes for declared disaster emergencies. 

The committee will also be briefed by Bruce Foster, Pennsylvania American Legion department service officer, on the status of the Veteran Service Officer Grant Program created by Act 66 of 2007.
