WHAT: The House Children and Youth Committee, chaired by Rep. Karen Boback (R-Lackawanna/Luzerne/Wyoming), will hold a voting meeting to consider three bills and nine resolutions.
They include measures that would add post-partum depression as a qualifying at-risk condition for early intervention screening purposes (
House Bill 1270); criminalize transferring custody of adopted children without court approval
(
House Bill 1867); and amend the Child Protective Services Act to permit provisional hiring under limited conditions (
House Bill 2527).
