House Policy Committee to Accept Testimony on PA’s Business Climate
2/17/2015
WHAT: In response to recent comments by Florida Gov. Rick Scott, who boastfully announced his intentions to poach Pennsylvania jobs, Rep. Kerry Benninghoff (R-Centre/Mifflin), chairman of the House Majority Policy Committee, will host a hearing to discuss the general business climate facing Pennsylvania’s businesses. York County business owners and statewide business associations will provide testimony to the committee on state taxes and regulations, how to improve the state’s business climate and how to attract new business.

At the conclusion of the morning hearing, attending state representatives will tour the York College Business Incubator. Located on the York College campus, the business incubator is a model of academia and private sector collaboration, innovation and business development.

WHO: Benninghoff will be joined by several Republican House members from across the state. Testifiers will include the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, National Federation of Independent Businesses, PA Manufacturers Association, Glatfelter, Utz Quality Foods, RH Sheppard Co.
