3/3/2015
HARRISBURG – Rep. Karen Boback (R-Lackawanna/Luzerne/Wyoming) issued a statement today after the unveiling of Gov. Tom Wolf’s budget proposal for the 2015-16 fiscal year. The budget includes spending of $33.8 billion, representing an increase in spending of 16 percent over this fiscal year. In her statement, Boback said:

“The governor’s budget address serves as a starting point for negotiations. As a member of the Appropriations Committee, I look forward to participating in the discussion in the months ahead and to crafting a budget which makes sense for taxpayers in the 117th Legislative District and across the Commonwealth.

“I appreciate hearing that the governor is concerned about property taxes across the Commonwealth. The hearings on the budget planned for this month will be essential in learning more about the governor’s property tax relief proposals, and I look forward to participating in them.”
