House Gaming Oversight Committee to Hold Hearings on State vs. State Competitiveness
WHAT: House Gaming Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. John Payne (R-Dauphin) will hold two public hearings at Philadelphia-area casinos to gather input from industry representatives about what they believe is necessary to keep Pennsylvania casinos competitive with casinos in surrounding states.
WHO: Payne and members of the committee will hear testimony from Jan Jones Blackhurst, executive vice president, government relations and communications for Caesars Entertainment Corporation; and Ron Baumann, senior vice president and general manager of Harrah’s Philadelphia during the morning hearing. Wendy Hamilton, general manager of SugarHouse will testify during the afternoon hearing.
WHEN: Wednesday, March 18
Morning hearing will begin at 9 a.m.
Afternoon hearing will begin at 2 p.m.
WHERE: The morning hearing will take place at Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino, located at 777 Harrah’s Blvd., Chester.
The afternoon hearing will take place at SugarHouse Casino, located at 1001 N. Delaware Ave., Philadelphia.
