Speaker Turzai, Veterans, Labor and Business Leaders Lead Charge for Expanding Natural Gas Usage

WHAT: Media event with Pennsylvania Speaker of the House Mike Turzai (R-Allegheny) uniting labor and business leaders and veterans in calling for responsible expansion of natural gas usage, infrastructure development and building a global energy hub in Greater Philadelphia.

WHO: Turzai; legislators from Philadelphia, Delaware, Chester, Bucks, Berks and Montgomery counties; (Ret.) Capt. James McCormick, a Silver Star, Bronze Star and three-time Purple Heart recipient from Vets4Energy (a group of volunteer veterans who continue to serve America as advocates for energy policies to sustain our national security); members of organized labor; and state and local business leaders.

WHY: Philadelphia and the surrounding region stands at the precipice of developing into a global energy hub with significant family-sustaining job creation and economic growth. Energy independence is the key to national security and Pennsylvania prosperity. This is an opportunity to hear from a diverse group of local and state leaders on the potential for the Greater Philadelphia region and what’s needed for the growth to make this energy hub a reality.
