Barrar to Lead Vote on Bills Benefitting Veterans and Emergency Service Providers

WHAT: Rep. Steve Barrar (R-Chester/Delaware), majority chairman of the House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee, will lead the committee in a vote on a number of bills to benefit veterans and emergency service providers:

•House Bill 784, which would provide for a tax credit for employers that hire veterans. 
•House Bill 677, which would add a county 911 coordinator, county EMA director and regional PEMA office official to each county’s Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC). 
• Senate Bill 285, which would recognize “Honor our Veterans” motorcycle license plate proceeds as a funding source for the Pennsylvania Veterans Trust Fund.
