Milne Commends Sheriff Deputies and Police Officers Who Subdued Knife-Wielding Perpetrator at Justice Center
HARRISBURG – Rep. Duane Milne (R-Chester) released the following statement on the events in West Chester earlier today:
“Earlier today, county sheriff deputies and local police bravely and effectively responded to an armed assault in the lobby of the Chester County Justice Center. The knife-wielding perpetrator is reported dead and a deputy is reported injured. Let us keep this injured first responder in our prayers and be grateful more innocent bystanders were not harmed during this incident.
“Today is yet another reminder of the courage of our law-enforcement officers, and of the thanks we owe them as they face real and constant dangers to keep us safe. It is also a poignant reminder that violence can break out anywhere, even in this mostly peaceful and serene county we are fortunate to call home.
“Respecting law enforcement and following security protocols in our courthouses and government buildings allows officers on duty to respond to threats and keep the peace, and is a contribution to public safety that every citizen can and should make.”
