House Ag Committee to Hold Public Hearing on Race Horse Industry Reform
WHAT: The House Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, chaired by Rep. Martin Causer (R-Cameron/McKean/Potter), will hold a public hearing on
Senate Bill 352, sponsored by Sen. Elder Vogel (R-Beaver/Butler/Lawrence), legislation to reform the state’s race horse industry.
WHO: Causer, members of the committee and the following testifiers: Secretary of Agriculture Russell Redding; Jim Simpson, chairman, Standardbred Breeders Association of Pennsylvania and president of Hanover Shoe Farms; Mark Stewart, counsel for Parx Racing; and Joe Tyrrell, regional vice president for government relations with Caesars Entertainment (Harrah’s Chester Downs).
