Boback to Lead Voting Meeting of House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee
WHAT: Rep. Karen Boback (R-Lackawanna/Luzerne/Wyoming), chairman of the House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee, will lead a voting meeting to consider the following bills:

Senate Bill 302, which would prohibit the use of Class B firefighting foams containing PFAS chemicals for training or testing.
•
Senate Bill 461, which would require Senate confirmation for the governor’s appointment of the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) director.
•
Senate Bill 849, which would clarify in statute that veterans with a medical discharge shall receive Veterans’ Preference.
•
Senate Bill 861, which would enact the Recognition of Emergency Medical Services Personnel Licensure Interstate Compact Act and enter the Commonwealth into the compact.
•
Senate Bill 927, which would enhance the medical officer or health care officer incentive program.
•
Senate Bill 1047, which would modernize the State Armory Board.
