Topper Opposes Raising Taxes on Hardworking Pennsylvanians
(HARRISBURG)- Today, State Rep. Jesse Topper R-(Bedford/Fulton/Franklin) opposed Gov. Tom Wolf’s proposed tax increases on hard-working Pennsylvanians. The governor had proposed a 16 percent increase in the Personal Income Tax. He issued this statement following the vote:
"This tax proposal is not based in reality and that was demonstrated through the vote today. Hopefully the Governor now realizes there is not support among the Legislature or the individuals and families that we represent for his massive tax hikes. It's well past time for Governor Wolf to sign a responsible and balanced budget that does not place another financial burden on the working people of Pennsylvania."
