Maloney Votes “No” on Wolf Tax Hikes
Says proposal ignored property taxes and did nothing to create jobs
HARRISBURG – Rep. David Maloney (R-Berks) today voted against legislation to implement a $3.8 billion tax hike to fund Gov. Tom Wolf’s proposed budget for fiscal year 2015-16.
Maloney issued the following statement after today’s vote:
“This was a massive tax increase that did nothing to address property taxes. It became evident as the debate went on that there was no plan, and no information, on where this tax hike would be spent.”
