Ryan to Announce School Funding Plan that Would Eliminate Property Taxes
WHAT: Rep. Frank Ryan (R-Lebanon) will hold a Capitol news conference next week on his legislation to establish reliable funding sources for Pennsylvania schools while eliminating property taxes that threaten to price middle- and lower-income residents out of their homes. Property taxes are rising at a rate that is unsustainable, said Ryan, and action is needed now to bring the situation under control. In every session since Ryan took office in 2017, he has sponsored or supported legislation to eliminate unfair school property taxes.
WHO: Ryan and members of the Citizens’ Property Tax Advisory Group
WHEN: Thursday, Feb. 24, at 11 a.m.
