1598. House Bill 860, sponsored by Rep. Todd Polinchock (R-Bucks), establishes the Smoke Alarm Responsibility Act. House Bill 1445, sponsored by Rep. Marty Causer (R-Cameron/McKean/Potter), transfers $5.5 million in funds from the American Rescue Plan Act to the already existing Emergency Medical Services Operation Fund (EMSOF). House Bill 1557, sponsored by Rep. Zach Mako (R-Lehigh/Northampton), amends the Price Gouging Act to require certain clarifications when the governor issues proclamations declaring a disaster emergency. House Bill 1598, sponsored by Majority Chairman Rep. Karen Boback (R-Lackawanna/Luzerne/Wyoming), amends the Flood Plain Management Act, replacing the management of the program from DCED to PEMA.
