Farry to Hold Public Hearing on Bill to Better Coordinate Fire, EMS Services

WHAT: Rep. Frank Farry (R-Bucks) will hold a public hearing of the House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee (VAEP) to hear testimony on House Bill 1819. The bill would establish a Pennsylvania State Fire Commission to coordinate resources and services for fire and emergency services providers in the Commonwealth in accordance with the S.R. 6 Commission report.

WHO: Farry, a member of the VAEP Committee, who serves as chairman of the Subcommittee on Security and Emergency Response Readiness; Rep. Austin Davis (D-Allegheny), prime sponsor of House Bill 1819; Bruce Trego, state fire commissioner; Dylan Ferguson, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services; David Chiaramonte and Adam Perreault, PA Professional Firefighters Association; Charles McGarvey Sr. and Jay Delaney, PA Career Fire Chiefs Association; and Steve Bair, PA Fire and Emergency Services Institute.
